IU feels like she failed as a best actress at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival – At the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, Actor Song Kang Ho managed to become the first Korean to win Best Actor. Unfortunately, IU failed to win the Victory Cup.

IU recently had an online interview regarding her role in the movie “Broker”. The 1993-born singer plays So Young, a new mother who finally joins the brokerage journey.

In the interview, IU expressed her feelings about being able to debut at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival through the film “Broker”. “I still can’t feel it completely. I didn’t even notice when I left,” said IU.

“The schedule of activities is very tight, so I don’t have time to look around Cannes. It’s been a few days since I’ve been on a busy schedule so I don’t know if it’s here in Cannes or Korea, but I still don’t feel it,” added IU.

At the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, IU’s co-star, actor Song Kang Ho, became the first Korean to win Best Actor. IU continued, “This is so weird. Shouting ‘Song Kang Ho’ with such an unusual pronunciation, my whole team must have goosebumps.”

“I got goosebumps. It’s not foreign to me because a lot of new information comes to me in exotic and unsuitable situations along with the pleasant senior appearance,” continued IU.

“It was like a hidden camera, and it felt and it was like a scene from a movie. It was a strange day in many ways to say that a senior was standing on stage receiving an award,” added IU.

IU, who was nominated for Best Actress, then revealed what it felt like to fail to win a trophy. “I have no regrets at all. After our first film was shown in theaters, critics and audiences talked about reviews the next day,” said IU.

“We also have a tight schedule to find something like that. The official said there were many good things about acting, but I didn’t believe it at the time,” continued IU.

“I thought they said good things because they were related, but then when I had time, I looked for reviews through translators and said, ‘Is there really such a review? It’s amazing,’ I thought,” added IU.

“In addition to our films, many good films were entered into the festival, and it was surprising that there were people who were impressed by MY acting.
